We went to the Paris Bakery Cafe in Monterey for coffee and a chocolate croissant. My husband wished the french owner a happy Bastille Day and she was so happy she gave us free eclairs. Divine!
We had pate, but we usually have it several times per week, so not so special. The Quebec equivalent of Bastille Day is St. Jean Baptiste. To celebrate we went to Vermont. :)

We sang La Marseillaise yesterday morning over breakfast to commemorate the day, but alas, no steak frites, pate or eclairs.
