i hope all you readers in the sandy zone are ok! we lost electric for a bit, but there was no damage.
the images from the NYTimes are really intense! i've been thinking about the first place i worked in NYC, the little patisserie on spring st., and hoping the basement/kitchen is safe from flood waters.
